Do you trust your own eyes? If it's about "real" colors of photos on monitors and printers, you can trust the Spyder by one hundred percent. But if it's about the motive itself, you should maybe be a bit more careful...
Just like last year, the german DOCMA magazine, specialized in digital imaging, invites people to participate in this year's DOCMA Award contest. This time it's about counterfeiting UFO pictures. And what would make a better UFO "template" than ColorVision's futuristic Spyder?

Be creative and make up your very own "encounter of the third kind"... |
Everything made with digital tools can be sent in (2D, 3D, photo compositions, combinations). The most important criteria for this: The final image should convince the beholder, that the shown situation could really have taken place.
Win a SpyderPRO & PrintFIX, the tools for accurate colors
Besides several monitor calibration tools, ColorVision also donates a special prize for the best Spyder composition, for the winners in one of the three categories pros, semi-pros and students in the creative area: You can win a SpyderPRO & PrintFIX valued at € 499.-, so your counterfeit image looks absolutely real on both, your monitor and your prints. Also, the winning images, which will be picked by a comprehensive jury in July, will be presented to a broader audience at this year's Photokina, where the award show will take place.
Don't forget: closing date for the images is 5 August 2004. The eligibility requirements in german [PDF] and any further information can be found at www.docma.info and in the current DOCMA issue (DOCMA 06, publilcation date: 18 June 2004).
