EIZO supports ColorVision's Spyder2

ColorVision by Datacolor Now Supported In EIZO ColorEdge Monitors to Yield Extraordinarily Accurate Color For Today’s Most Discerning Users.

ColorVision, Datacolor's unit for digital imaging announnced that the Spyder2 colorimeter can now be used with the latest version of EIZO’s ColorNavigator software to calibrate its ColorEdge monitors. The arrangement brings the benefits of award-winning colorimeter hardware to ensure color accuracy on what many consider the world’s best LCD monitors. “ColorVision was selected to expand our color calibration options because of its exceptional reputation for quality and for embodying the same stringent standards we apply to every aspect of EIZO products and componentry,” states Shoichi Yamaguchi, general manager for product development marketing at EIZO. “We are extremely pleased to be partnering with EIZO, a name that discerning professionals have come to associate with the finest in quality monitors. These same users can now opt to use a color calibration technology that has set a new standard in color accuracy since we introduced ColorVision Spyder2 technology. ColorVision Spyder2 is an easy-to-use, sophisticated colorimeter that has won awards throughout the world. Under the terms of the agreement, EIZO now supports the award-winning ColorVision hardware beginning with version 4 of its ColorNavigator software. Specifically, the colorimeter mounts directly on the screen and integrates with ColorNavigator to provide hardware calibration within the ColorEdge series. In the latest version of ColorNavigator, users have the option to select ColorVision Spyder2. This sleek dual-phase hardware design delivers precise calibration and highly accurate ICC profiles for the EIZO LCD monitors as well as all LCD, CRT and laptop displays. Enhancements include highly sensitive light detectors to deliver a high degree of sensitivity as well as a filter-pack system and patent-protected light baffle to further increase accuracy of the color measurement.
